MICRO SOCCER @ WCWAA --Fall Season will start September 12, 2010 and run thru mid-November.(Age group/Schedule layout is below). Registration will run from 06/28/10 thru 08/01/10. We will also have a on-site registration on 08/04/10 from 6PM to 8:30PM.

General Program Info-----
Our micro program is divided into 3 age divisions and this helps kids to learn the game at their own pace and have fun with kids their own age. Our main focus is the kids having fun and getting a feel for the game.

For Fall 2010 Micro Soccer participants :

A division is the oldest micro group
for children with birthdates 8/01/2004 thru 01/31/05.

The B division is the middle micro group
for children with birthdates 02/01/05 thru 01/31/06.

The C division is the youngest micro group
for children with birthdates 02/01/06 thru 02/01/07.

BACK THIS SEASON: We will hold a several skills camp for all Micro players and their siblings. Come out and learn a fun skill each week with some of our older Rec players.

UPDATED SCHEDULE INFO:
A DIVISION WILL PLAY FRIDAY NIGHT FROM 6:45 TO 7:45
AND SUNDAY 4:30 TO 5:30

B DIVISION WILL PLAY SATURDAY AFTERNOON FROM 5:00 TO 6:00 AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON FROM 3:00 TO 4:00

C DIVISION WILL PLAY SATURDAY AFTERNOON FROM 3:30 TO 4:30 AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON FROM 1:30 TO 2:30

Kids are placed strictly in their age groups.
The Micro Soccer league is divided into the 3 age divisions mentioned above, because it's important for kids to play with other kids in their own age group. This let's kids learn the game at their own pace and increases their number of touches on the ball which is what ultimately gives children the experience they need to excel as they move up thru the age divisions in Micro Soccer and as they enter competitive play in seasons to come.

The ultimate goal of the micro soccer program is for children to have fun. We don't keep score and we encourage parents to cheer for both teams.

Micro soccer at WCWAA is 3 vs. 3 play (with no goalie) in the B and C Divisions .
The A Division is a hybrid of micro and U7 soccer- our goal is to make the A division a better transitional league for our kids whose next step will be competitive play in U7.  We are playing 5 vs. 5 with a goalie on a slightly larger field, it still looks and feels like micro but incorporates a few game elements kids would normally experience in U7. We are very excited about this new format!

Kids will need Black soccer shorts and socks, shin guards (required for all play in the micro league), and a #3 size soccer ball- cleats are not required but they are helpful to keep kids on their feet. The association will supply team jerseys.

This program is run completely by parent volunteers, including the commissioner- so your help is requested and appreciated!
Coaches are always needed and experience in soccer isn't necessary at this age level.   It really is a lot of fun and if you'd like to coach or help coach your child's team please make that notation on your registration for the fall season.
